 First Try at Arm Knitting.

Here we go my first arm knit scarf. It took me a few tries and I had issues with casting off (as I always do), but all in all I would call it a success. Once I got going it only took me a half hour or so to complete. You can view the tutorial I followed here.

The yarn she uses in the tutorial would be ideal, but I couldn't find it in the stores. Therefore, I used two skeins of Red Heart Boutique Sashay Metallic yarn as one skein was not long enough. For this type of knitting you pretty much NEED super bulky yarn. Two skeins together (making it four total) would be ideal, but I only had two in that color. I'm thinking about stitching the ends together and making it an infinity scarf.

Homemade Almond Milk Creamer

Homemade Almond Milk Creamer

You can use store bought Almond milk (which is what I used this time cause it's what I had), but if you want it creamier use this recipe to make your own base.

Start by adding about 1 cup of Almond Milk to a sauce pan. You could do this with cold milk, but the powdery ingredients won't incorporate as well.

Warm the milk slightly on low heat. Add about a tablespoon of vanilla (I use gluten free madagascar vanilla) and Stevia or Splenda to taste (you could use sugar, but why drink your calories). This is the base of all the creamers.

For the Vanilla the only other ingredient you add is about a quarter teaspoon of salt.

For the pumpkin spice add about half a teaspoon of cloves, quarter of a teaspoon of nutmeg, and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Whisk the ingredients in over low heat for about a minute or until there are no seasoning clumps. This one may need a bit more sweetener, but I didn't think that it needed any salt. And that's it!

For the spiced cocoa add about 2 tablespoons of  unsweetened cocoa and a half teaspoon of cinnamon and dash of nutmeg. Whisk the ingredients in over low heat for about a minute or until there are no seasoning clumps. Adjust sweetness to taste with Stevia or Splenda. You could also make this one with peppermint instead of or in addition to the cinnamon.

And there you have it. Super easy and super quick only took me about 15 minutes to make all three.

Enjoy!
